EUROPEAN JUNIOR FLAG CHAMPIONSHIPS 2006
The Netherlands take it all
(2006-12-12) from 15th to 17th of September the annual European Junior Flag Championshsips – U13 an U15 – were held in Gateshead/UK, hosted by the British Federation BAFA.
In the U13 tournament six nations competed for the european crown.
After the preliminary round host Great Briatin, Germany, the Netherlands and Austria entered the semifinals. While Great Briatin defeated Germany 27:07 to reach the final, the Netherlands had a hard time to win their game versus Austria with a narrow one point lead – 40:39.
But then the final was all theirs, as the Dutch defeated Great Britain 40:19 to win the U13 European Junior Flag Championshsip.

Game for 1st place: Netherlands vs. Great Britain 40:19
Game for 3rd place: Austria vs. Germany 33:18
Game for 5th place: Spain vs. France 20:26 (OT)
1st place: Netherlands
2nd place: Great Britain
3rd place. Austria

6th place: Spain
Eight nations competed in the U15 tornament for the title of an European Champion.
And again the Netherlands – the Dutch Junior Lions- won it all and made it their most successful year in European Junior Flag Football.
